The Omnibus - Three Secrets in One!

It’s easy to overlook the Omnibus as a less-than-thrilling experience, especially when compared to the Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain or Space Mountain, but hop aboard this classic attraction, which dates back to the early days of Disneyland, and it may quickly become one of your new favorites…or perhaps three!

1) As you enter Disneyland, find the Omnibus in the Town Square, climb to the upper deck via the back stairs and sit in the front seat, which faces forward. Once the Omnibus departs and begins to slowly make its way towards Sleeping Beauty Castle, you’ll have an exciting V.I.P. view of Main Street, U.S.A. from high in the air as it all unfolds around you. In fact, it’s almost as if you’re the star of your very own Disneyland parade float!

2) From your new high perspective, you’ll have more of an eye-level view of the tributes adorning the windows of Main Street, U.S.A., which not only makes them easier to read, but it’s great for photographing them, too.

3) Have you ever stood near the “Partners” statue of Walt and Mickey and wished you could get an unobstructed photo of Sleeping Beauty Castle, one without people in the foreground? With a front row seat on the upper deck of the Omnibus, you can! Have your camera ready as the Omnibus makes its way down Main Street, U.S.A. and approaches the Hub. Just before it begins a slight turn to the right, you’ll realize you’re now about 12’ high, right in the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. and well above all the guests’ heads. Perfect for getting a classic photo of Sleeping Beauty Castle!
